fruteria la gueras

one of my fave things that makes summer, Summer, is the tasty fruit that the hot weather brings.  happily, we made a pit stop during our day yesterday at fruteria las gueras, (pronounced "where-us") to enjoy an amazingly fresh, cold cup of delish summer fruit.  definitely off the beaten path, fruteria las gueras is a family owned and operated outdoor cafe.  they serve a wide variety of fun food every day of the year (except on tuesdays).  whether you're in the mood for turkey legs, mini tacos, fresh fruit cups or corn in a cup, fruteria las gueras is your one-stop shop.  the fruit cups aren't the typical fruit cups you'd find in the lunchboxes of today's 3rd graders.  these cups are jam-packed full of chunks of your fave fruit.  there's no way you could leave with an empty stomach.  this hidden treasure makes for an eclectic outdoor eatery that will definitely make your taste buds (and wallet) smile, no matter what kind of snack you're in the mood for.
