Everybody knows the kitchen is the heart of the home, so the project highest on my priority list was definitely a kitchen makeover. Besides it wasn't going to feel like "home" yet cooking and baking in a kitchen that just wasn't my own. So even before we moved in we spent a couple of days sanding and painting and installing. Even after long days in clinic, I just had to finish working on the kitchen I knew would work for us.

The kitchen on the day we got the keys! |

This is several days later. Cabinet doors came off for sanding and painting. My handyman started work on installing an over-the-stove microwave to be vented directly outdoors. |

Disregard the patch of wood underneath the microwave that somehow escaped the paintbrush. Don't know how that happened! ;) |

What a difference! That kitchen is AMAZING!
