Day #3 of our California trip was a self-guided, whirlwind tour of San Francisco. We started it off right with a great lunch near the water, and ended the day at Coit tower and awesome views of the city and the bay. Check 'em out below!

Delicious spinach and asparagus soup at The Plant Organic Cafe. |
Marco's "Plant Burger" made of lentils, beets and mushrooms on sourdough bread. It was unanimously delicious! |
My Reuben sandwich made of tempeh with homemade dressing and fresh veggies!! |
Ferry Building Marketplace |
So many shops and eateries inside the Ferry Building |
There was a tiny kiosk selling these delicious-looking vegan donuts. Sadly, the donut lady was nowhere to be found so we walked away donut-less. |
At the Fisherman's Wharf |
The typical steep San Francisco street |
After lots and lots (and lots) of walking we treated ourselves to a mid-day snack of sweet and savory crepes! |
Lombard Street. The famously steep, one-way street made of 8 hairpin turns. The collection of turns serves to reduce the naturally steep grade of the hill. Don't know how they do it, but San Franciscoans actually live along this street despite it being constantly flooded with sight-seers. |
Don't know if I could ever get used to these streets!! Geez. |
A view of the city atop Lombard Street |
After spending some time in the city we ventured on to see the Golden Gate Bridge |
Back in the city, we stopped to see the Painted Ladies aka Postcard Row better known as where you'll find "The Full House" house |
Love the design of San Fran homes
Alamo Square, a park across the street from the Painted Ladies. If there's any question as to where the "Full House" house is located, just look for the crowd in this park. They'll point you in the right direction. They're usually sitting, staring at the famous row of houses. |
At this point in the day we were again hungry (no surprise there) and were ready for dinner. Bravely (or stupidly) we decided to be "adventurous" and grab a bite to eat somewhere off the tourist path in China Town. On our radar? Legit Dim Sum. The first store we walked into had a menu entirely in Chinese. We walked right out in search of a place where we had a better idea of what we were ordering. We quickly came across another dim sum locale and afterwards, we found ourselves wondering if we'd feel sick after our "authentic" China Town dinner. Luckily for us, all's well that ends well.

Late in the afternoon the fog across the bay started to roll in over the Golden Gate Bridge |
